What is the Northeastern PA Pre-Apprenticeship Program?

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Pre-Apprenticeship Initiative connects high school seniors to opportunities in the Building and Construction trades. Through a partnership with the Northeastern Pennsylvania Labor Management Council, local Workforce Investment Boards, the Building and Construction Trades Council, Educational Institutions and PA CareerLink, the Pre-Apprenticeship Initiative works to provide qualified applicants to the Building and Construction trades apprenticeship programs.

Who can apply?

High School School Juniors and Seniors living in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Schuylkill, the Northern Tier and Pocono Counties are eligible to complete an application.

Out-of-School Youth and Dislocated Workers may be eligible for a special Pre-Apprenticeship program. Applicatons can be downloaded from this site and faxed or mailed to the address listed.

What are the requirements?

• Working toward a High School Diploma
• A High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Drivers License
• Proficient in math including algebra
• Interest in the building and construction trades

How do I apply?

See your guidance counselor or download an application and send it to the address listed.
